Want to electrify your bike life? The install video below takes you through the essentials of a Specialized Roll e-bike conversion using a great kit from Dillenger. The result – a comfortable and electrified Specialized Roll Sport Low-Entry bicycle.
The Bike
We love the Specialized Roll Sport and it’s a perfect candidate for converting to electric. The frame is stylish and sturdy because it’s made of A1 Premium Aluminum. It comes equipped with 650b tires, which provide stability and comfort while riding. The frame style allows for an upright posture and comes with “The Cup” seat providing full support to the rider. The Low-Entry style frame used in this build is perfect for those that want the ease of getting on and off the bicycle. This bike also comes equipped with mounts to add fenders and a rack.
The Kit
For this build, we chose a Dillenger Premium Offroad Electric Bike Kit. This kit includes a 500W rear hub motor and 48V 13Ah battery. It offers a maximum speed of 28mph and maximum distance of 62 miles when utilizing pedal assist. The downtube battery is also perfect for installation on the existing water bottle mounts provided so no permanent alterations need to be made to the frame.

E-Bike Conversion Video
This Specialized Roll e-bike conversion used a Bafang rear hub motor. Bafang also offers popular mid drive motor options. We used 1000W mid drive kits for a Sikk fat tire e-bike conversion, a Gravity X-Rod e-bike conversion, and a Mongoose e-bike conversion.
